The purpose of The Single Eye is to focus on what’s really important. It’s based from Stephen Covey’s example of putting rocks into a jar. If you put the big rocks in first, you will have room to fill the jar in with smaller rocks, gravel, sand, and water. Yet if you fill the jar with the other stuff first (sand, gravel, water) the big rocks aren’t going to get in there. There is so much in life that is unnecessary; so many distractions. To get to the core of what’s important takes a Single Eye. This means your eye is focused on one thing. It means priorities in order, separating good from bad, but also good from best. It means distinguishing things that differ. I will attempt to give helpful talks on a variety of topics in relation to this.
