Hi Fred! Thank you so much for sending me your book, "The Axe Laid to the Root." On the very first page (Introduction), I heard the best definition of grace I have come across yet: grace is the life of God in us to bring us a life of victory, power and love in Him. I am preparing a lesson on grace to be given on 11-6-07 at our men's fellowship breakfast. Your book will be a great help in preparing the lesson. R. B., Vero Beach, FL

Hi Fred,

It has taken me a while to thank you for sending three copies of your incredible book.  I just finished it today....taking me some time to read...small bites....so delicious.  I will be reading it many times. Thank you so much dear Brother in Christ for helping us to more Freedom and Being Ourselves. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your loved ones.

Grace and Peace, J. S., Sebastopol CA

And our group decided to start it for our Saturday study next week at ______’s suggestion. He has recently read it and was just bowled over.

I want to tell you that the book you gave us is really illuminating and uncovering some very important truths that I have wanted to understand better for a very long time.  It is very definitely being used by God to speak to me.  Thank you again for passing it on.  My husband hasn't had a chance to read any of it because I won't let it go yet, but I would like to order some more copies I think. S. D., Salem OR

Hi Fred.........My husband and I just 'loved' reading your book that we got for Christmas from the Buntings. We would like to order four copies please. Blessings, and keep on writing! S. H. Woodstock, ONT

Dee Dee gave me your book 'The Axe Laid to the Root' as a gift a couple of weeks back and I have been deeply blessed by it. For many years I knew this is the TRUTH but nobody teaches it. The evangelical church has paid so much of attention in the 'old man - new man' theology without realizing that this theology does not work in real life. Than comes along your book and Dee Dee's Knight of Faith and suddenly there it is - TRUTH. My wife and I have been living in cloud 9 ever since we got to know Norman's friends. No words can describe the joy in our hearts as we rejoice in finding the 'pearl of great value'. There has been a deep Joy in my soul in reading your book.

P. V., Malaysia

Dear Fred,

Your book is magnificent!!!  It is going to be such a tool for all of us!  It is easy to read and gave me such a thrill, because although I know all that you said is true, I couldn't have quoted all the verses in such a concise way!  Lots of love to you and Jan,

H.

The book has been so helpful to me and my husband, I was thinking of ordering (and paying for) ten more copies in order that our little home fellowship group could read and share it together. Would that be possible? S. D., Salem OR

Dear John and Linda

I really enjoyed reading Fred’s book, every paragraph that I ingested, my spirit said yes, yes, yes, I could not put it down. Sandra has not had a chance to read it yet as I gave it away to a dear friend. I would love to get hold of a bunch of these books to give away, could you please tell me how much they are and I will send you a money order for them. I would like also to wish you both a blessed and happy new year. Thank you again and many blessings, all my love, M. Ontario

Hi Fred,
I have been busy at my store and unable to get to my mail.  Just wanted you to know that the books arrived, thank you so much, and that I have already given one,  and my friend has been blessed indeed!  I have two other friends who are going to get the book in with their birthday gift.  I am on my second reading and gleaning more the second time around.  Sometime I will write and let you know why this is so confirming to me.

From a minister in Kansas

I have been pursuing the issues of condemnation/grace/purity/righteousness, old nature vs. new nature for most of my life.  No exaggeration!  I can recall talking seriously with my Dad as a very young boy about my inability to live without sinning.  Since the Lord called me into ministry this hunger to resolve the burdens of the sin/condemnation/rededication cycle has ratcheted up and after a lifetime of prayers, gobs of books and teachings *BAM* something happened!

As I read the first half of Pruitt's book "The Axe Laid to the Root" the pieces of God's Word/Truth examined and reexamined over a lifetime began to fall into place.  I immediately put the book down because I couldn't bare reading on – this peaceful, restful joy that was bubbling up was too wonderful and I didn't want to risk losing it in an almost superstitious way.  Inside I was giddy – in my Spirit that is, not emotionally.

I have since described what happened as "the light of the Lord hitting my Spirit" or true revelation.  Not that I know everything but that I was filled with the truth and the revealing would unfold over time as it has and will probably forever.  For awhile I didn't speak of it except to Jackie but every day as old condemning thoughts came they had no power.  As I stumbled in ways that would usually disqualify me, there was peace and then the understanding that it wasn't me.  That the "I" was dead, nailed to the Cross, gone, buried.  I began to see through the behaviors, the thoughts and could see Christ IN me *tears*.  Even as I write I can hardly contain my joy.  Watching the Holy Spirit begin to shift my desires and expectations is exciting and fills me with hope.

Whoa - If I don't stop, I'll end up writing a book right here.

In short (after being long), thank you brother… *chuckles*

Dear Fred,

I read your book and immediately started re-reading it.

You've done an amazing thing there: summarized the ONE and Single bible theme into 47 pages: the whole shebang...Father's salvation intent from beginning to end. Wow: the message now so simple but oh, so hard-earned for us all down our 2000 year history.

so many dead ends and blind alleys that have been suffered on the way to this single-eye vision.  Hector LaSala

Dear Fred,

It's taken 35 years, however, to find your book. It is the best, clearest, purest exposition I have ever read on this topic, and I wish it were possible to inject it directly into the minds and hearts of Christians everywhere. But it is so easily misunderstood! -- as you touch on in the back.
